Data collected with a UAV, processed and analysed with ATLAS is expected to optimise quarry monitoring, stockpile audit and water management, as well as support drilling and blasting operations and planning of traffic in a quarry.

Earlier this year SPH Engineering disclosed UgCS application for mine surveying. The open pit survey was conducted by the Mining Engineering and Mineral Economics Department at MONTANUNIVERSITÄT LEOBEN, Austria, as a part of UgCS Educational programme.
