What is a survey result?
Detections performed by AI detectors are visible on the map/image, though counting, area size, and export functions are blocked. 
Once you confirm you are satisfied with the accuracy of the detection results, you will be prompted to approve the payment amount to be added to your balance, which will unlock the display of object counts, area sizes, and export of vector results. 
Which file formats can I upload to ATLAS?
  • Images: JPEG, PNG
  • Orthomosaics: GeoTiff
  • Digital surface model (DSM): GeoTiff
  • Vector technical drawings in DXF
  • Full motion videos in MPEG-TS
Can I use infrared images?
Yes, as JPEG format
What is the file output from ATLAS?
  • GeoJSON, CSV, PDF
  • Shape and DXF formats are coming soon
Does ATLAS allow you to analyze videos? I.e. counting cars, pedestrians, etc.
Yes. The video should be in Full Motion Video (MPEG-TS) with GPS coordinates. One can record such a video with the UgCS Enterprise video recording package
What image resolution is required for AI detectors to work?
The higher the image resolution - the better the detection will work. In general images with GSD of 2-5 cm/pixel should be sufficient. To detect bigger objects like cars, solar panels, vegetation areas, etc it can be sufficient with 10-15 cm/pixel GSD.
Do you have sample files I can upload to train AI detectors?

Can I import and export AI detectors?
Yes, on paid Cloud Plan and On-Premise it is possible to export detectors as files. To run this detector locally you need ATLAS On-Premise
Do you have existing AI detectors?
We do not ship detectors out of the box, because for many tasks quality depends on many conditions. But to train your first detector you may need 30 minutes. It is really quick.
What is the accuracy of a detector?
When detection is finished we cut results below 80% of confidence. In general, a lot of things depend on the annotation quality. Please follow our guidelines https://learn.atlas.ugcs.com/docs
What report does a detector deliver?
Images with detected objects can be downloaded as a ZIP archive or CSV list.
From it, it is possible to download GeoJSON data for external GIS systems and PDF report with area screenshot and identified objects counts and area sizes
How do I share a project with other team members or clients?
There are two options on how to share a project.
  1. Add users and open access to a specific project
  2. Share the project as a public link, not requiring authentication.
Can I use Pix4D for flying and ATLAS for object detection?
Yes. Data can be captured with any tool and then processed into orthomosaics
Can I upload pictures and ATLAS create orthophotos?
Yes. ATLAS has also a photogrammetry engine under the hood
Can I upload mosaics created in other software?
Yes. We support GeoTiff format
Does ATLAS offer custom branding?
Yes, On-Premises installation can be branded using a customer's corporate design.

Does ATLAS have the ability to label/create objects to be imported into AutoCAD Civil3D?
Yes. Now it is possible to export GeoJSON, Shortly we will support DXF export
Can ATLAS be installed on my hardware?
Yes, ATLAS can be installed on your own hardware. Please contact ugcs@ugcs.com for On-Premises options.
Which languages are supported by ATLAS?
Currently ATLAS has English, Spanish and Chinese localisation

Is there a way to avoid my Balance increasing?
Yes. ATLAS charges you based on storage, users, or exported AI detection results. To stop Balance from increasing, you can remove users, remove data that you store, or stop exporting AI detection results. 
If I don't want to be charged for any ATLAS services - what should I do?
There are two options:
  1. Remove users and any data that you store in ATLAS
  2. Delete your account. To request account deletion, please contact support@ugcs.com
What does it mean if my ATLAS account is in read-only mode? How to unlock it?
It means that you can not perform any tasks in ATLAS and only view the data. To unlock, please make the payment within 30 days from the bill issue date. If the payment is not made, all your data will be deleted without an option to restore.
What does it mean if my ATLAS account is blocked? How to unlock it?
It means that you can not perform any tasks in ATLAS and only view the data. To unlock, please make the payment within 30 days from the bill issue date. If the payment is not made, all your data will be deleted without an option to restore.
Do you offer a free trial for ATLAS?
ATLAS is a usage-based platform, which means that you pay only for services you use. Each new account starts with a USD 50 worth of usage bonus - which allows you to test ATLAS functionality.
What are my payment options?
  • a payment card (Visa, Maestro, Master, and American Express),
  • PayPal
  • Alipay.

Can I deploy ATLAS software in my own datacenter?
Yes. This is the ATLAS On-Premises installation. Please contact ugcs@ugcs.com for pricing options and technical details.
Which hardware do I need for ATLAS On-Premises?
The configuration depends on the amount of data you want to store and process, but the minimal configuration may consist of 3 nodes:
  • Main server: Linux Ubuntu, Core i9 (6 cores), 32Gb Ram, 512Gb SSD, 1Gbit Ethernet
  • Server with GPU: Linux Ubuntu, Core i9 (6 cores), 64Gb Ram, 512Gb SSD, 1Gbit Ethernet, Nvidia RTX2080Ti
  • NAS: depends on the storage size
Can I deploy ATLAS in my AWS account?
Yes, ATLAS supports AWS as well as other public cloud providers.
Does ATLAS On-Premises require internet connectivity?
Partially. Internet connectivity is required to activate the license and access base maps from OpenStreetMaps. But base maps can be substituted with any available tile server. We never send your data from ATLAS On-Premise to our servers.

Do you retain the data?
You can store data in ATLAS's cloud as long as you require. When you delete the data from your ATLAS account, it is permanently removed - we do not retain your data in the system after it's deleted. The same applies to accounts blocked because of unpaid bills - to avoid further charges, we remove all data from blocked accounts with no option to restore if the payment is not made within 30 days of the bill issue date.
Will the AI detectors created in my account be available to others?
No. The AI detectors are not shared between organizations.
How secure is your cloud storage?
Data of each organization is isolated and available only for members of your account.
